As President and CEO, Tim leads the Greater Raleigh Chamber. The mission of the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce is to sustain and further develop a thriving economy and to enhance our community’s quality of life. As the Triangle’s largest business membership organization with more than 2,300 member firms representing two-thirds of the private sector employment in Wake County, we support the interests of the local business community.
Prior to joining the Greater Raleigh Chamber, Tim served as President & CEO of the Gainesville Area (FL) Chamber of Commerce, Tim was the Vice President of Corporate Outreach and Engagement for the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Director of the Florida Chamber Small Business Council.
Giuliani’s work to support businesses of all sizes spans his entire career. Before joining the Gainesville Chamber in 2012, he served Florida Chamber members as the organization’s Vice President of Corporate Outreach and Engagement. During his tenure, Giuliani organized support for the passage of legislation creating the $750 million Florida Growth Fund and the State Small Business Credit Initiative to increase small business access to capital by nearly $1 billion. In this role, Giuliani also successfully designed and implemented strategies resulting in the engagement of more than 200 of Florida’s leading companies in the Chamber’s Board of Governors to advocate for the annual Florida Chamber Business Agenda. Giuliani has also led membership and business development for the Gainesville Area Chamber from 2006-2008 as well as the St. Johns County Chamber prior to that. In 2004, he served as the Executive Director for the Foundation for Preserving Florida’s Future, which defeated a proposed anti-growth constitutional amendment.
Giuliani’s volunteer service has been dedicated to strengthening business and includes board service for the Research Triangle Regional Partnership, Downtown Raleigh Alliance, Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Florida Research Consortium, Junior Achievement of Alachua County, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Council on Small Business, and Enterprise Florida’s Stakeholders Council.
Giuliani received a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Florida, and a bachelor’s degree from the Florida State University in economics and communication. He and his wife, Sarah, have two sons, Tyler and John Parker, and a daughter, Analeigh.
